Section 1 notes from Monday's class

Concerning Groups: we are using writing groups because current pedagogy suggests they help with several things. It encourages active learning. It especially helps students who otherwise would not have contact with other students outside of class time. It gives each student more input regarding their work and gives a better sense of the norm.

We also considered (last class) the importance of narratives and narrative conflict within a classroom and between groups of people with different religious views.
